Current Reading: The Kerrytown BookFest

Hello All,

You may (or may not) have been wondering why my blog has been so quiet lately. I am honored to be moderating a panel at the Kerrytown BookFest in Ann Arbor on Sunday, September 11 at 2:00 PM. The panel is titled "Victorian History Mystery" and the participating authors are Maureen Jennings, Tasha Alexander and Stefanie Pintoff.

With this honor comes the reading of the above authors' books, what some might call a task, but I am enjoying myself thoroughly immersing myself in these books.

Maureen Jennings:
Detective Murdoch (primary series for panel; set in 1890s Toronto)
1. Except the Dying (1997) 2. Under the Dragon's Tail (1998) 3. Poor Tom is Cold (2001) 4. Let Loose the Dogs (2003) 5. Night's Child (2005) 6. Vices of My Blood (2006) 7. A Journeyman to Grief (2007)

Christine Morris (series, set in 2000s)
1. Does Your Mother Know? (2006) 2. The K Handshape (2008)

New novel (set in 1939): Season of Darkness (August 2011)

Tasha Alexander
Emily Ashton (series; set in 1880s)
1. And Only to Deceive (2005) 2. A Poisoned Season (2007) 3. A Fatal Waltz (2008) 4. Tears of Pearl (2009) 5. Dangerous to Know (2010) 6. A Crimson Warning (2011)
**Tasha will also be participating in Mystery Thrills Michigan at the Romeo District Library on September 10 in Washington, MI**

Stephanie Pintoff
Simon Ziele (series; set in 1905-1906 New York)
1. In the Shadow of Gotham (2009) 2. A Curtain Falls (2010) 3. Secret of the White Rose (2011)

The above is what I've spent most of my summer reading, and as of this writing, I still have a few novels to go. Thank goodness I have about a month before this exciting event!

I hope to see lots of family, friends and acquaintances who live in Michigan or maybe even Ohio at the Kerrytown BookFest!

Thanks to Robin Agnew of Aunt Agatha's in Ann Arbor for inviting me to participate in the Kerrytown Bookfest this year!

Happy Reading!
Patti
